Wild, Bright, & Romantic Whimsical Garden Styled Shoot at Colonial At Sunset

The foundation of this shoot was whimsical garden essence, with a blend of vintage elegance and modern touches. The main goal was to showcase how pastel tones and bright pops can be paired together and still look beautiful, airy, and bold. Colonial at Sunset in San Antonio, Florida is a picturesque historic property with lush grounds and gorgeous architecture and it provided the perfect backdrop for the shoot! The rich historic aesthetic and complimentary natural elements perfectly highlighted the modern shapes and colors of the rentals, just like I was envisioning.

The tablescape was a blend of modern elements, like the table number and place cards from Laconic Events, and vintage inspired colorful elements, like the china and flatware and chairs from Oak and Ash Events. The menu cards from Sadgebrush Designs, who also created the invitation suite, and florals from Ivy Floral Studio, added bursts of whimsy and brought the tablescape to life! I really wanted to push the boundaries a bit with the use of orange and its vibrancy. The bold velvet tablescape linen, soft beige linen napkins, and vivid orange cake table linen were all from BBJ La Tavola and brought so much color and flair to the shoot. One of my favorite elements was the handmade edible sequin cake from Jordan Ellen Cakes that was nothing short of show stopping! Each tiny detail came together to create a truly unique cake that complemented the shoot theme beautifully.

I also could not get enough of the seating chart, welcome sign, ceremony pedestals and champagne wall from Laconic Events! These pieces brought the crisp, bright, modern feel that contrasted with the colorful, whimsical, romantic florals. Our models were so sweet and looked picture perfect in their attire with the suit from Sacino's Formal Wear, the dress from Truly Forever Bridal with hair and makeup by Marci Knuth Hair and Makeup. Everything was captured with exquisite attention to detail by Scott Sikora Photography!

I love that this shoot blended so many styles and elements together to create a cohesive and creative display with new ideas for couples to play with through color scheme, personalized details, and installations!
